Do HCG numbers have to double in a 48 hour period? [Archive]

I'm a little concerned even though the nurse said it was fine. I have always heard they should double every 2 days. Mine were 740 on Monday and then Wednesday they were only 1047. Is she just being nice so that I don't worry? Or should I be concerned?

Hi Sweetie,

I'm sure that if there was something to worry about, your nurse would tell you. They don't get paid to sugar coat things. Keep the faith and stay positive. I bet you and your little one will be just fine :angel: .

Woo Hoo...The nurse just called and said my numbers were actually 740 and 1474. Much better....

Thank you all! I go back on November 1st to have my blood drawn again. I also have an appt on November 2nd with my OBGYN. I finally was able to purchase a pregancy journal last night. I didn't want to jinx myself.....but I thought, what the heck.....I'm PREGNANT!!!
