Hi guys, http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif

Sorry I haven't been around much, in fact, I haven't been around my house much lately. I've spent a lot of time with my boyfriend...I think I'm pregnant. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif I'm scared out of my mind http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif Beyond other reasons...like, I'm only 20 years old, I am not financially ready to have a baby, yada yada yada...There's also this incredible fear of gaining weight. I'll have to eat these huge portions of food and get a huge stomach. Of course, the food is one of my lesser worries right now, as I'm waiting for my period to come. I don't know, For a long time I didn't get my period because of my ED...It just didn't come...but for the last 3 months it's pretty semi-regular (well, at least coming once a month again) but I skipped december completely. I should have started approximatly a week and a half ago...and I didn't. I've taken pregnancy tests and they come back negative, but I'm kinda scared about that too...cuz with no period that either means my ED has gone from bad to worse again...or, I'm pregnant. It's so sad that I"m praying that it's my ED that causing the stopped period. Anyway---had to share with people who might be able to understand. Hope everyone had a great holiday and I'll be back soon to check up on the postings!! have a great week everyone.

(((Sarah)))

That came as a suprise to me, and I'm not really sure which is the better outcome. I hate to hear that you're having a rough time! You don't deserve this! You're such a wonderful person. I don't really know of any advice to give you except that maybe you'll have to go to a doctor and find out for sure if you're pregnant. I hope that everything goes good for you! Good luck!

Thanks for the support guys! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'm trying not to stress and worry...and I was doing good until the one week mark...but now it's been well over a week and I'm just panicing and going to the bathroom "to check" every few hours...and to no avail. Katie, you're right...neither outcome is a good one...so we'll see. When I find out for sure, I'll let you guys know! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

thanks everyone

Hey there, Sarah! It's nice to hear from you again. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Like 54321 said, stressing out about things can also stop your period from coming... and that combined with your eating disorder just increases the chances. It takes a long time for your period to become regular again, so please try not to jump to conclusions! Since I've been in recovery (and the time leading up to it) I've had times when I was getting it every two months, and then times when I seemed to be getting it every two to three weeks (terrible time, that http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/tongue.gif). Like I said, it takes a LONG time to become regular again... right now I haven't had mine in well over a month. And no I'm not pregnant! LOL.

I hope you're feeling better. Please just make an appointment with your doctor and set your mind at ease.

Take care!
Ashlee

Thanks Ashlee,

I know worrying about it combined with my ED can make my period really late...but there's just something different about this time...like, I'm waiting for a period that will never come, ya know? I hope to God it's my ED (never ever ever ever ever thought I would say that, but it's true) Dealing with an ED is easier than dealing with being pregnant. I'm actually about to go take my last home prego test now...if this one is negative I'm gonna wait until Monday and go take a blood test...just to be sure...it's just a lil' scary waiting for your period when I've made some bad decisions in the last couple of weeks http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif

Sarah,
Let us all know what the outcome is. I am 12 1/2 weeks pregnant right now, and have had anorexia for the most part of my life. Since I was three. If you should happen to be pregnant, I would be SO happy to be your support through all of this. It is a tough road, but with the help of others, it is manageable. My Nutritionist has promised me that after I give birth, I will have only 5 lbs to lose walking out of the hospital. He has me on a special diet! I'd be so happy to be there for you during the tough times, and during the good times! Good luck with your test!
