Hi everyone http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif

I know I've started a lot of posts lately, sorry about that. I have a question, though, and I thought maybe you guys could help me out. I recently thought I was pregnant and so now I'm incredibly paranoid. I'm going to go on birth control, because I figure with my periods so off there is no need to worry every single month about a baby-on-the-way...ya know? hehe, anyway---so I was going to start on the pill, like every single one of my friends, so I know a lot about it. However, then I started thinking. What does this mean if I purge. That cant' be good, that would be like me not taking the pill at all. So I was wondering what you guys do about birth control, or if any of you are on birth control, which type do you use. Have any of you given consideration to the pill, I was also thinking that this might help me stop purging, if I know that I CAN'T purge because of my birth control pill, maybe that will be incentive for me to not purge at all, but then again I don't want to risk messing up the pill if I happen to purge...any thoughts?

i just wanted to make a suggestion to you, i dont want to encourage you ED in any way, but i thought that if possible other forms of birth control could also be used. I am not sure of the names of the other methods, but i know there is one that is injected, and another that is inserted under the skin and looks like three half-toothpicks underneath your arm. There also is i think a monthly birth control pill, you can always call up and ask all the different types they offer besides the daily pill. I hope this helps. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

hi ya i i have and imlant in my upper arm which works pretty well for me aparently it is the only contraception that is 100% reliable (although when i had it done it was relativly new so i dont know what the stats are now) you cannot see it it lasts for 3 years (so no quaterly pokes in the bum http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif) and it hasnt really affected me at all im in the UK but over here it is called implanon.

you can also have an injection which lasts for twelve weeks but i kept forgetting to go back and getting it done again which leaves you unprotected.

but the above suggestion was good that you could ring your local clinic and what is available

good luck
