I was wondering if anyone can help me. I was diagnoised with type 2 diabetes approx a month ago. I am currently on meds for it, and things seem to be going ok.
My query is about bowel movements and pain in my lower right back. (sorry if this is a bit gross.)
For a few weeks before I was diagnoised, I was being woken out of my sleep with a severe pain in my lower right back. It was like everything in that area had completely tightened up and it was very difficult to move.
I have suffered with kidney infections in the past and thought that this might be the problem, considering that once I went to the toliet, both passing urine and having a bowel movement, this pain would ease and eventually go.
It was because of this pain that I went to the doctor in the first place, as it was affecting my sleep resulting in me living in like a zombie. He tested a sample but was more concerned with my sugar levels than anything else.
He did prescribe an antibiotic for kidney infection and this seemed to help. Also a urine sample was sent to the labs but this came back normal.
I have been back to the doctor since, and he does not seem to be too concerned about this. Also my blood pressure has gone through the roof.
I am due to see my gp in relation the blood pressure tomorrow, and I will be bringing this up with him again, but I was just wondering if anyone else had experinced this.
