View Full Version : Antidepressant for acne?

I was wondering if anyone knows of an antidepressant that will also help clear up acne. I have been on several in the past, and, if I remember correctly, it seems that there may be some that will help clear up problem skin. I just can't remember which ones. Perhaps Remeron?

If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

To my knowledge there isn't one. I mean the purpose of mental meds is to bring down stress levels which would help hormon levels which in turn will help problem skin but thats one heck of a stress

Try a low GI diet - there are a number of clinical studies showing that this style of eating lowers insulin levels (itself a powerful hormone) which may be the link to stopping the acne. Check out the recent work by Prof Neil Mann in Melbourne, Australia.
