My stomach makes girgling noises.
I feel bloated when I eat.
I burp alot.
My lips burn.
My tongue feels dry & irritated.
It comes & goes.
This week is bad again.

My Dr. says maybe acid reflux or gastritis. He recommends a change in diet or try acid reducers.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Marcia23.

Not sure exactly what you are suffering from - I have reflux/hiatus hernia and there are a few basic things that may help...?

I changed to eating really small meals - maybe every 2 / 3 hourly ..sit upright at the table ..then stay at the table for quite a while afterwards - I never go and sit on an easy chair after a meal - causes real problems...and don't bend to do housework for a good while after a meal. In fact we have replaced al our carpets (with the exception of stair carpet) so I dont have to keep plugging in vacuum all the time and just sweep and mop - this has made a huge difference to the nausia. I think if you eat slowly then not so much air is taken in and may help the tummy rumblings hopefully. Because for a year or two I have not had a very big appetite - I do try to make sure that what I do eat is good for me. I have cut out coffee tea, cakes, chocolate, fizzy drink and all acid foods and fruit jiuces. I drink a lot of water and have camomile herbal tea

I have manuka active 15+ honey with probiotic yoghurt each day - also I have 5 veg and fruits each day, as long as they agree with me.

I also take one Multibionta tablet each day.

I find the Dr's don't give much help on diet really it seems to be an individual thing really and when I read the posts from other sufferers - different foods affect people differently.

I have had two endoscopies and now take 40gm Omeprazole and hope to be able to reduce this in time - I also have a continuous lumpy feeling at the back of my throat. I have been taking these prescribed tablets for a few months now and am only just beginning to enjoy even small meals again, so I suppose this is progress - but the dr said not to ignore the symptons

I hope this is of interest but it helps me a bit but we are all different

Good luck and take care....Belswains:wave:
