Does anyone else ever feel like their happiness is just behind a door that cannot be opened? I'm feeling so frustrated right now, and I just need someone to relate to.

I offen feel like i am feeling much happier, and i feel like i can climb out the darkness, then i fall back again and feel depressed again. I think alot of the time, it's difficult to get out of depression, because we havn't learnt new ways to living. I myself have had depression problems for 4 years although i have not been depressed for that long constanly. I have bouts of about 5 6 months at a time of bad depression, the rest of the time i feel either quite happy, or not happy but not depressed (Ie i can still get out of bed, wash, eat ect)

What about you? Do you feel constaly depressed, or do you somtimes see the light but are unable to reach it compleatly?

I fought out of a real tough bout of depression six years ago. I finally walked away from it by chasing a dream of mine. I really felt good until about eight months ago and !WHAM! it came back just as bad.

Do you know of anything that could have triggered this depression? Also are you in therapy?

I'm in therapy, but figuring out the cause is pretty rough. I know that it has to do with my marriage, but I can't seem to put my finger on it.
