ShinAkumA21 10-29-2006, 04:08 AM when mine is high my feet or finger tips feel numb and my jaw feel numb too weird Sponsor SamQKitty 10-29-2006, 06:13 PM I'm one of those lucky ones who doesn't feel any different when my blood sugar is high (although I suppose if it was high for any length of time...like weeks...I might feel it.) When I start to go low, I get tremors in my hands/arms, feel slightly anxious, and enormously hungry. Sometimes I'll feel as if my extremities are going numb. If it goes low enough, I might have trouble mentally focusing or I might get the giggles, and I'll probably start getting sweaty. I've passed out twice from low blood sugar (below 25), but since I went on the pump, my lowest number has been in the mid 50's. Ruth jerrytom 10-29-2006, 07:01 PM When my blood sugar gets high, I consider high about 180, I just get a feeling all over that can't really be explained. I think this comes from 38 years of Type 1 Diabetes. I don't want to eat and don't care to do much of anything. When it get's low, I feel shakey and a bit lightheaded. Either one can make me tired. I have to watch for that. I check my blood sugars at least 3 times a day, usualy 4. My last A1c was 4.8, before that it was 5.1. A lot of this didn't have anything to do with yoour question but I just thought I'd throw it in. Good luck. Jeff |
