I was diagnosed with ulnar nerve compression about a year and a half ago. My nerve was compressed after being placed on light duty due to a back injury. I was doing a lot of desk work. The desk was very small and I was always hunched over with my elbows on the desk while I typed. It was a very ackward position. The intial symptoms where numbness and tingling in my little and ring finger in my left arm. After the onset of the numbness and tingling I started having deep dull ache in my left scapula region. When I extend my left arm outwards I can feel a "pull" from my affected fingers all the way up to my left scapula. Can a compressed ulnar nerve affect the scapula as well? A physical therapist told me that it can because of the fact that a compression at any point of the ulnar nerve can affect other parts of the body where the ulnar nerve runs through. Is this true?
