Hi,

I have had a numb/painful right hand for 3 months. Apparently I also have a "mute" right toe accoridng to my neurological exam... Had EMG etc to rule out carpal tunnel. MRI of brain shows 5 lesions. I had a VEP done last week and havent gotten results. I think its normal though... I have an LP scheduled this thursday...

HAs anyone been diagnosed on lesions alone?? I have no real symptoms like ON or anything. Jst very numb hand, mute toe, and right leg cramps. If my EP is normal and LP is normal, i don think the will diagnose me with anything! Which means my hand will also be stuck like this I think, cause no signs of getting better...

I was dx'd with just a MRI, at my dx my brain didn't have any plaques but my spine was caked with them. I'd had a few bouts of optic nueritis, and had been having trouble with "banding" for a while... My brain has since caught up with my spine though as far as lesions go. But life goes on, I still just take it one day at a time.

Ilovesiamese...Did you have an evoked potential and LP done or did they just never administer them?
