Its one of the best antioxidants for stopping free radicals.
It helps deactivate an unusually wide array of cell-damaging free radicals in many bodily systems.
Alpha Lipoic Acic also helps to "recharge" and extend the life of other anti-oxidants in the body, such as Vitamins C, E and Coenzyme-Q10 thus making them much more effective.
There is also evidence that it can help decrease insulin resistance and thus help control blood sugar.
I would recommend getting atleast 200 MG of Alpha Lipoic Acid.

Barry gives great info .....Just to add its also an energy catalist in helping produce ATP for cellular energy and works in both fat (membranes) and water (cytoplasm) of the cells.....

6 foot 3, you see that new study about Resveratrol yesterday.
Scientists did a clinical study of Resveratrol on rats.
There saying this vitamin could be the fountain of youth.

Thanks Barry....yeah i did...I've mentioned this (resveratrol) several times in the last year on the ''Aging issues'' threads about this polyphenol. I take Longevinex which is a Red Wine Extract....
Thanks again...
