My Fiance ate of all things:Chicken Bones and ever since(over a month and half)has been Vomiting Blood,in pain and losing his appetite which has resulted in weight loss.He finally went to the Doctor(stubborn Man)and had X-Rays taken. The Doctor concluded he has a serious internal problem from having a tiny piece of sharp Chicken Bone pierce through the Lining of his Stomach which is causing a sore or ulcer in his Stomach. He was given some Tablets(don't know what kind)and if the problem persists he will have an Operation(next year) .How common is this and what can be done cos I am not content with the tests the treating Doctor performed.Oh I am not joking about this!

Lotus B,

I am with you -- I would be very concerned--he needs to have the chicken bone that is making his stomach blleed removed ASAP.

Has he consulted a Gastro Doctor? -- It may be able to be removed using an endoscopic exams-- they take biopsies like that-- resulting No operation.
Just an Idea.

Harry,
From what I understand the Chicken Bone was digested it just perforated the lining of his Stomach. He is in Papua New Guinea so we are currently a part and the Medical care there isn't up to par snuff. They told him if the Tablets doesn't help he will require Surgery to repair the sore/ulcer in his Stomach.
