Can you be off balanced everyday with MS? I mean when I stand up or turn around too fast or just move a certain way sometimes I can feel off balance and even fall over. But then sometimes I have really bad bouts with being off balance to where I have to lay down to get rid of the feeling. Do others have this symptom? I have not been diagnosed yet, I feel like that I am trying to diagnose myself because doctors don't seem to care anymore. They all seem to think that you are making it up or you are depressed or have anxiety issues. What's up with that??

Shelly,
It can be related to MS,since this is happening daily make an appointment with an ENT this could be related to an inner ear problem.Through a series of test they can locate what is causing the off balance.

Nuffs3,
Thanks for the reply. I had an ENG by an ENT and he told me that it wasn't related to my ear but that my brain wasn't sending signals right on the left side of my brain. This is not a daily thing. Some days I am just fine and then others it just bothers me a little and then others alot. It's just real confusing because the ENT wanted me to have an MRI, so I did and it showed absolutely nothing. Can you be off balance like this and nothing show up?

SRSuper,
Thanks for the reply. Have you been diagnosed with MS? I had a test that a neurologist did at his office and it is where you stand with your eyes closed and march in place for a few minutes. I thought that I was in the same place but when I opened my eyes I was totally in a different spot and turned a different way. He said that it showed him that I did have a balance problem. Usually mine only happens when I turn to the right also.
