I don't have alot of time in the morning. Enough time to either do cardio, or weights, not both. If I do cardio in the morning, and weight training in evening, will I still see results? and will those results come slower because I'm not doing weights first? I'm following Denise Austins shrink your female fat zones, and on those days that I have to do both I don't have time. I already get up at 5 am, so getting up earlier is out of the question. will this work?

It shouldn't make much difference, or at least, it'll still be better than dropping one of them due to the limited time.
I would do the weights first though - you'll be fresher in the morning and probably be able to put more effort into the weights. In the evenings you might be already tired, in which case cardio is the best option.

I agree! You may also try organizing your weight routine into a circuit. That will have some of the benefits of both the strength training and some cardiovascular. Circuit training can also abbreviate your workout time since you would be eliminating the rest period between sets in order to move to the next station. For example, a traditional style workout might take 45-60 minutes, whereas a circuit with the same list of exercises may only take 25-35 minutes. Try it out!

like the others have said, splitting the workout up should be fine...
my only suggestion that i would add is that you do at least 5 or 6 minutes of cardio before you hit the weights... just to get your body warmed up and your blood pumping so your weight workout is more effective...
also... i'm not familiar with denise austin, but you are aware that you can't "target" fat loss... right?

I cannot do cardio in the evening, I would never get to sleep, which would lead to me oversleeping. I'm following denise austins shrink your female fat zones, which has me doing cardio for 25 min then `15 min of strength 4 times a week, with 2 15 min single sessions with no cardio that day. Great program, but 40 min a morning would be to much. I get up at 5 am as it is, and have 2 kids to get ready for school, and work to go to. some mornings I have to start work at 7:30. So I must get myself and kids ready. NO TIME!!!! Bummer that cardio makes me wired and not be able to fall asleep. Hey if ya'll got any othe great ideas, please share!!!

to 808lion, yes I know you can't target tone, but denise talks about how women store fat in different ways, and how hormones and such play a large role. Women to get fast deposits in certain areas, and Denise tells you and trains you on how to do certain exercises that will maxamize the fat loss. she also stresses cardio, and clean eating. A great female program
