Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie here, but from what i have read so far everyone seems so nice and caring. I've been trying for 8 years to get pregnant. Went to the fertility dr and got a bunch of tests done, dh is fine and i had an hsg everything was normal. Did 2 insemations 2 weeks ago, had done injectables for a week and one big shot in the butt. They said everything looked great, pro. level was 35. Well last friday i started bad cramping and started period. it is hard for me to understand why everything looked just fine and wham i start my period. it was really heavy for two days and now nothing. i guess i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem why it won't stay attached? Thanks in advance:angel:

Bambo13 - you're not alone. Many of us have had all the right numbers at iui but still do not get pregnant. It's heartbreaking and sometimes I feel like all the darn planets and stars will have to line up in a row before I get pg yet, others get pg in the blink of an eye.
As advanced as medical science it, there are still a number of reasons outside of our control: times when a released egg does not enter the tube; when sperm cannot penetrate the egg; when for some reason, the zygote doesn't implant correctly, etc.
My DH and I both test just fine. Both iui protocol and procedures went great for me. However, the 1st was unsuccessful and I'm in the 2ww for the results of the 2nd. I'm staying positive that all the planets lined up for this go round !!!
Are you going to try another cylce? I've got 3 personal friends who have had success with IUI, one on her first try, two on their 3rd.
I wish you much luck and will keep you in my thoughts.

it seems like u are a vicitm of unexplained infertility... u had u had an hsg done, but what else?? have u had a hysteroscopy (that checks for scaring, tissue damage etc..fibroids and polyps) or a laparscopy ?? these too are important tests!! dont give up hope. my sisterinlaw has slight endo and tried for over 5 yrs, finally got pregnant and miscarried, then a few mos later got pregnant again via injectiables and has a beautiful baby girl! besides the slight endo they keep telling her there is no reason she isnt getting pregnnat..

We also had unexplained infertility with a mild male factor (sometimes his analysis was 'borderline', sometimes fine). 4 IUIs w/clomid failed BUT our first attempt at IVF was successful! And I have to reiterate what asprousey said about the other tests - it wasn't until my IVF that they did a hysteroscopy and found a ton of scar tissue in my uterus. It only took them a couple minutes to clear it out (very simple procedure), but RE said that could have been impeding my IUI attempts. Kind of irritated me that my previous clinic & RE (who did the IUIs) didn't do this important test and I didn't know about it!! Definitely something to look into!
Good luck and tons of sticky baby dust! :D
