thanx for replying to me, i'm too embaressed to see a doctor as i feel like i'd be making a big deal out of nothing. i am scared though of the feelings i get when i eat food. but is there really anything a doctor can do? god i'm sorry, i sound like a loon! i'm talking to you as if you're a dotor! sorry, guess i'm just trying to find out if i'm alone or not and this site seemed really friendly, and for first time i wasn't scared bout talking.

First, you're not a loon. A doctor can help you in a number of ways. First, they can do lab tests to check and make sure different things in your body (electrolyetes and other things) are balanced, they could refer you to a therpist and psych(who may prescribe medication that can be very helpful) And lastly, you will know that you are no longer fighting your eating disorder alone, but will have someone behind you ready to help you.
