Hi - I hear you can have a + OPK and still not ovulate. I don't know much about this, and I gave up charting. I got a very positive OPK yesterday, but I have no confirmation that I ovulated. Does anyone know how likely it would be to not ovulate, but still get a positive OPK?

Thanks so much!

The vast majority of women do ovulate when they get a positive on the OPK. Unless you know that you have ovulation problems, assume that the OPKs are correct! :D

I actually have this happen to me. I'll get a positive OPK, but not actually ovulate. It wasn't until I started charting my temps, did I find this out. It can definitely happen. I know of other women the same thing. I know you mentioned you gave up temping, but you may still want to do that for back-up, or check your CM too.

Hope this helped.

Zuzu - how could you tell that you wern't Oing? I temp, too, and I am worried that maybe I didn't this month. The website I'm on tells you the day you O'd, but my temps haven't gone up that much this cycle. Last month they shot up very high, so I knew for sure that I O'd. So confusing!
