Hi all,
I'm the Mom of a 15 year old boy who is in the midst of puberty. We talk about EVERYTHING and he told me he has some periodic "discomfort" in his testicles/groin area. Not pain, but discomfort. It never lasts for more than a few seconds/minutes, but he's getting anxious about it. I've read numerous things about aches and pains during puberty, but I want to ease his mind. He has an appointment for a physical on November 27th, but I don't want to wait that long to give him some peace of mind! My understanding is that while in puberty your penis/testicles/groin area will have aches, but I'm not a man so I've never experienced this:) Thanks for your help!
Peace,
Susan

Humm. Sounds like your son is over-all healthy. Most of us men visiting this site or some what older, and probably don't remember back as far as 15 years old. But if it helps to know, we all feal discomfort at times in our bodies, for what ever reason or another. With guys, we usual don't make a lot of it, and go on about our way. Girls usually will discuss things like this, but boys, we just deal with it, unless it's serious, then and only then can you drag us to a doctor (smile) tell him to chill out! That means, relax and don't worry. If theres a problem the doctor will let him know.. Good luck!
