Hi I posted in her a few months bvack and everything was starting to get better. I was taking 200 ml of zoloft and some lorazeoan for my anxiety. The words weren't connecting as much and I wasn't obsessing over certain things. Now today around mid afternoon it all started coming back to me the obsessions liking words etc. And I cant stop it and I cant calm down. I took lorazepan but that does not seem to be helping. Why is this happening again. The only thing I can think of is I was told to ween off the lorazepan and havent taken it in two days before today. Help with any ideas would be appreciated.

Hey Sam
It could very well be the lorazepan. Stopping abruptly unfortunately can cause a spike in the severity of your OCD... the nervous system and synapses are left in a state of "shock" sometimes when you withdraw a drug that actively works on them. This is especially true if the drug has a low half life and leaves the body quickly. Also, it could just be one of those damn annoying recurrences that we all get from time to time.
Unfortunately, the only thing you can do for the time being is go with it buddy. The more you panic the more OCD will kick in. I'm sure it will quiet down soon. But for now, what do you enjoy doing? Try and do something to take your mind off it.
