Hey Mlissa..

I am sorry that u were feeling crap that day. We all ..and I mean everyone here..when I say that we all get a load of days where we see ourselves as that and we want to be better. And I know I am hypocritical when I say this..but when u strive to meet your goals...you still aren't satisfied and push those goals further. That is when u end up in a dangerous sitatuation. This diet thing isn't a 'have to'..it is your choice..and..honestly..If u r wanting to lose weight.. a dietician or someone can help u plan an eating plan and help u lose weight..that is if it is necessary!

start doing crunches, or something to strengthen the muscles in your stomach and obliques. Then you wont have to suck it in. It will stay there.

Hi Milissa! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

First of all, please remember that you are not as fat as you think you are! Mirrors lie...Our minds play tricks on us.

And we are all beautiful in our own ways...in our own bodies. Try not to compare yourself to your mom, because at your height and weight, you're perfect...even a lil' low. I'm sure you're beautiful. Please becareful, and remember that I'm here if you need anything.

NEVER GIVE UP

Is there someone you can ask for an objective opinion? The odds are that you are seeing yourself this way because you are uncomfertable with yourself, not because you really have these features.

Hi Milissa!
I can totally identify with you b/c I'm
anorexic too--& yes, so is my mother, she
was always thinner than me. I'm not
bulimic but my mother was for 20 years.
Now she has inoperable cancer & is dying,
which puts ALOT of stress on me. PLEASE
stop purging b/c it can lead to esophagus
cancer(my mother has to be tube fed thru
her stomach!!)
5'3" & 120# is a quite healthy weight in my
opinion. I've had anorexia since I was 17.
I used to be "CHUNKY" & was always teased.
Now I'm 35 & have osteoporosis(thin bones)
due to "starving" myself---yes, I need alot of
help too ...Whatever we do to our bodies, there
are consquences.
If you ever need someone to talk to, Im here.
Hugs & God bless!
Eve

When I was in high school I was anorexic. I am 5'4" and at one point weighed 85 lbs., and even at that weight I was convinced that I could see rolls of fat around my tummy. Mirrors play horrible tricks on you. What woke me up was looking at my senior pictures with my mom. As soon as I saw the first proof, I started crying and said, "Do I really look like that?" I was so thin, I couldn't believe it. My point is that you shouldn't go by your mirror. Have someone take a picture of you. You'll be amazed at what you see. Hope this helps! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
