Hello all, I will try to keep this short. I just need some support, opinions or advice please. For one year now I have had pain 1 inch above my belly button. It's the same pain and it hurts so bad. The only way I can explain the pain is it's a pressure and cramp that doubles me over. I've had constipation with it and I do all I can. I take fiber pills everyday, use enema's, eat fiberis foods and friuts and veggies.

So one year ago I went to Mexico, came back and a week later I was in the ER. My stomach was swollen, with this pain above the belly button. The doc at the ER said I had gastroenteritus (viral infection) of my intestines. She said there was nothing she can do about it and it will go away on it's own. So I've had this problem since then and I am worried. I had a colonoscopy about 10 months ago with a DX of proctitus (inflamation of the anus and lower colon).

There is still something terriblly wrong with me and I know it. I don't have insurance right now. I've had alien looking matter in my stools also. I always feel as if there is compacted feces still in my intestines and colon as sometimes my feces are so thin and tiny and I feel like there's still so much in there. I am just stuck confused!

leahlove,
There are several things worth trying---

Start taking a water soluble fiber like Metamucil like it says on the container daily twice -- it will regulate your BMs and it is a bulking agent.

Also, I think your intestinal friendly bacteria is out of balance and not too friend --- needs to be corected by re-colonizing and re-balancing.

Eat a good brand of yogurt 3 or4 times daily and take several probiotic supplements twice daily.
I like Stonyfield Farm yogurt best-- it contains 4 additional active cultures -- including L reuteri. Probiotic supplements that really work are Pearls, Culturelle and PB-8 in the small intestine and Bifidus is needed for the colon re-balancing-- all are available online at good discounts.

Kefir also contains alot of friendly bactertia --- 4oz daily should help.

Let me know how you make out?

Harry

when you say your stool is thin do you mean in size. I was having pencil sized stools with a pain on the left of my belly button it was a pinching pain. It turned out that I had adhesions that had wrapped around my colon. obstructing it but not completely. 15 min laproscopic surgery and all was well again.
