about a month ago i noticed a bunch of tiny indentations in the top of 2 of my fingernails (near the cuticle). as my nails have grown they've moved further and further down the nails. it's hard to explain, but it looks as if someone took a needle and made a bunch of little "holes" in the surface of my fingernail. they're very subtle but i know that abnormalities in the fingernail can be indicative of something bigger... does this sound like something serious? am i deficent in some vitamin perhaps?

The tiny pindot depressions in the nail plate are indicative of nail psoriasis.

My son has this. It's psoriasis. Dermatologist said it's made worse by trauma. My son's trauma is playing the drums and guitar. He also has rough skin on sides of palms that sometimes bleeds. So far, nothing helps.
The dermatologist suggested using dermaplast.

For your son's rough skin, try this mixture of essential oils. You should be able to get all of these on the internet or at your local health food store.

2 oz. jojoba oil
4oz. Rice Brain or Grapeseed Oil
1/2oz. vitamin E oil

He can apply a small amount several times a day as needed and massage into the skin and allow it to absorb. Always apply at night! If he needs more 'healing', then add a little more vitamin E oil, but no more than one ounce total.
