You probably get an email like this every other day so I apologize. About two years ago I started taking Tyelonol with the sleeping component. My reason for taking it was the sedative effect, not the pain killer part (I didn't realize the you could get pills without the acemetophin). In any event, I quickly developed a tolerance for them and eventually was taking about 8 or 9 pills a night. I now realize how stupid I was. The only thing going for me is
A) I didn't take pills every night for the last two years, I would go on a binge where I would take a bunch every night until the bottle was gone then swear off them until the next time a couple months later.
B) I don't drink.
I've stopped taking the pills and I don't have any symptoms of liver damage near as I can tell but can anyone tell me if they think I'm screwed? Will my liver heal itself if I don't ever take anymore pills?
Thanks for your answers, I appreciate it.

Yeah, you're definitely best off seeing a Dr for a more thorough examination, a simple blood test being the first port of call.
Fact is, you can do your liver damage with a lot of things. It's a common misconception that it's only alcohol that can cause damage but you can also do it easily with other kinds of drugs and even fatty foods.
But the liver is quite a resiliant organ and capable of healing itself, so I wouldn't panic yet. The best thing you can do though is see your doctor and get some testing done. If your liver is under any stress, it will show up in elevated enzyme counts in your blood.
Cheers.
