I take Lamictal 100mg , and I do think its keeping the manic moods down, which is good:) Overall I am happy with the drug.

But like any medication there are the unpleasant side effects. I have chornic cotton mouth, Im always hungry and my sleep is slightly disturbed. I dont think its weight neutral, actually I think it has caused an increased appetiete, which will make anyone gain weight. Also feeling too slowed down, not motivated at all.

What are others' personal experiences with Lamictal and its side effects?

Also, can anyone share what SSRI worked well for them. Had very BAD reaction to wellbutrin. Didnt agree with me and had severe panic attacks on it doctor is now recommending effexor. I m a little nervous about trying out a new med.
