My dad has had a sore throat for about a month (why do men hate going to the doctor?). This has happened before, only it was 4 months, and one day it just went away. Should I be concerned?

This has happened before, only it was 4 months, and one day it just went away. Should I be concerned? any sore throat lasting longer than 7 days should raise a red flag. the fact that your fathers lasted into the 4 month range is definitely something to be concerned about. only visiting a doctor will give you some straight answers, as to if it is an infection, or a lodged object, or possibly tonsillitis, an abscess behind the tonsils, etc., but from my own personal experience, i can tell you that the only sore throat i had that lasted that longer than a week turned out to be tonsillitis! |
