I'm 23, and I've had a lump on the left side of my neck since I was about 11 or 12 years old. It never gets bigger, though sometimes it gets smaller. It doesn't hurt - but it's always there in one form or another. Throughout the years, doctors have never worried much about it, and every blood test I've ever had has never come up abnormal. It still bothers me though, I don't know why its there. It doesn't even get abnormally swollen when I'm sick - and there isn't any reason I can think of that makes it shrink or stay at its normal size (which is about oh, not even an inch). But it's there.
I'm not fatigued, I don't have night sweats, and haven't had rapid weight loss (I'm actually on the heavy side). I don't get sick very often, but when I do I get over it pretty quickly - so my immune system seems to be in order.
It baffles me. Any ideas?
