My husband had a hernia operation on 10/19. It was a sublingual hernia in his groin. After the operation he has this large bulge that looks like he still has a hernia. The doctor said that it was normal because of a mesh they put inside and that it would get better in 2 months. The large bulge pertrudes out farther than the hernia and is about 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. Has anyone had this happen to them after a hernia operation? Did it go away?

Hi, My dad also had a hernia operation and it looks worse then before he had the surgery. I was wondering why the bulge didn't go away too and hope someone can give you some answers and maybe they can help both of us. My dad had his surgery July 26, 2006.But also has alot of other health problems . Thank you....:confused:
