The other day my friend screamed really loudly in my ear, and now I feel a sharp, throbbing pain deep in my ear randomly throughout the day -- it's actually happening as I type. What happened in there, and how long will it take to heal (if it ever will)?

The worst that could happen would be a perferrated ear drum. If the problem has not subsided in 24 hours, you should go to your doctor and make sure there is not a tear or rupture in your ear drum. If the ear drum has been damaged it can take a long time with out the proper care and medicine to heal.
