Hello. I just wanted to send an inspirational message out. For those of you who are going through a really tough time right now and feel like you will never get out of it - just hang in there. I have felt this way many times before but I always pull through it and feel much better. Last week I was in pure hell with my mind, but I got back on my medication, and I am seeking help, and I feel so much better this week. Is the obsession still there? Yea it pops into my head everyonce in a while....but not as often...and I am able to dismiss it better. Just remember that everyone experiences these thoughts - it is just with our brain chemistry we hang on to them and keep repeating them. But it WILL get better, even though right now you may feel it won't. I suggest getting a self-help book or seeking therapy with someone who specializes in OCD - it can really help to know that you are not alone. Take Care!

That's great to hear mate, and I second everything you have said. A good day really can make all the difference. Yeah, thats the most important thing to think of... there are armies of obsessive compulsives.

Thank you both for your inspiring words of encouragement. I've been at the end of my rope this week wondering if there's a light at the end of the tunnel for my two kids who suffer OCD (and more). You give me hope for their happiness...

I would also like to add to that hope and tell everyone that I have been having an alternative therapy called biofeedback done to treat my OCD and anxiety and I find that it is really helping my brain not to obsess so much and not to feel the compulsions like I used to. : )
