I know this question has been asked before but here it is again. I have only been on Lexapro for a few months and I am going to stop taking it. How should I taper, how long???

I have read the posts of those who have been on it for years so I am not sure how long I should take to taper off??? My Dr says take 1/2 dose for a few days, does that sound correct???

If you aren't in a hurry then I would taper off much slower. The longer the time you taper, the less residual side effects you will feel. Do some research online. I am sure you can find some average taper times and follow that.
