i don't know, i've been thinkin about this lately. after not eating-anorexia-your metabolism slows down. but what if you started eating a little bit, and kept eating more and more? would that get your metabolism normal again? or would you gain a bunch of weight back?

Hi,

You will gain some weight back, naturally. But your metabolism will speed up again also, making it possible to eat normally and stay a healthy weight like you should once more. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hello there,

when I was in the throngs of anorexia, my worst fear was that as soon as I started eating more again, I would gain soooooo much weight because my metabolism must have slowed dwon... and that I might end up OVERweight.

Well if it can comfort you a little, I never became overweight, even though i went trhoug a phase where I ate a LOT. I don't think my metabolism is slower than other people's as a result of the anorexia.
