Dear Friends in Recovery,

Ah, that magical time of year is upon us, the holiday that really is devoted to food. Food and gratefulness, that is. But can the two really go hand in hand? I am not so sure; the stares from relatives, and the wondering of what will go on my plate, and now, my fiencee in the mix...I just don't know how this is going to go down.

I am afraid, anticipating being embarrissed...any advice would be great!

Have small portions of a little bit of everything. (well.. of what you LIKE lol) Then they can't say, "why didn't you eat this, why didn't you try that.." Keep them at bay, eat the yummy food, but dont' feel guilty about it. :)

Me.. I'm a HUGE dinner roll lover. You put those french rolls infront of me, I will eat them like the main course. I don't even like turkey all that much, and I dislike gravy. Veggies can go away. Salads are gross unless drenched in fat free ranch. I'd be happy with a bowl of fruit and my "i can't believe it's not butter" topping!

I know how you feel Sleepers. I started a thread similar to this back on the 1st. I hate the holidays just for this reason. It seems like its devoted to over indulgence and eating as much as you can. Just the thought of all the food thats going to be served on that day scares me. Espically since Ive been eating semi-normal lately Im afraid this one day Im gonna wake up and be 20 lbs heavier. My plan is to get little servings of everything like EmLittrell said. I hope it wont do that much damage
