Can anyone Please help? I am 29 with three beautiful children, they are 10,8 and 4. I had to have a Complete Hysterectomy in 1999, and I've been small all my life except when I was a baby, and I almost weighed 9 pounds http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif. Alot of people tell me when I hit my 30's I will start to gain and wish that I would have been happy the way I was but I'm about 5'6 102 if that, and I take estrogen for a hormone replacement, you would think that would at least help, I take Womens one a day vitamins, I've had my thyroids, blood count, etc... took from the doctor and they cant find anything. Whats silly is my doctor says your fine and healthy, I sure dont feel it, my bloods not low and I feel tired all the time, out of breath easily, and lots of other problems to go along with all this, plus I have panic attacks, and I stay stressed out most of the time. I do eat good, alot of people have seen me eat and they wonder as much as I eat how I stay so small, I've been begging for years for help, but my doctor doesnt want to put me on anything to stimulate my appetite, there have been a few doctors that have tried to put me on different things and I've even tried Ensure Plus but nothing, Could someone, anyone Please HELP, I'm in desperate need to gain up to 125 or even 120 would be fine, I just need to gain in a bad way, sorry for such a long message, Take care everyone, Sincerely, Nikechic.

sounds like u have a dilemma on your hands! Have u told the doctor these symptoms that u r getting? I haven't got n e good advice for u (sorry) , but I'd keep going back until u get this sorted coz u can't be putting up with this all of ur life!

PS People always say that when u hit whatever age..u will pile on the pounds. This isn't always the case if u keep your diet healthy? I dunno!x

hi, i can TOTALLY understand what you are going through. i am 5'4" and barely 100 lbs (on a good day) my doc also says im perfectly fine and that it seems like i will never gain weight. (my mother was also very thin so he says im just like her) ive been trying for years to gain at least 20 pounds (ya right) but i'll be happy with 10 =)

ive even tried drinking boost and ensure in between meals, but they didnt do a single thing for me. unfortunately though, i can LOSE weight really easily. if i miss a meal, ive already dropped pounds. its so not fair. (and for all you overweight people who get mad please realize that it's just as bad for us thin girls .. we get teased and talked about and have low self confidence the same way)

anyway.. i too have problems.. i get tired really easily, and dizzy/lightheaded a lot. yet all my tests come out normal! maybe we're just outta shape =)

hey there. can't exactly relate to your problem, just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in. it seems that some people really just have a hard time putting on weight. my best friend in high school was a stringbean, hated it, but tried everything and nothing worked. now she has 3 kids and has pretty much the same build. her last baby is only 3 months old and all the weight is gone. so i guess maybe it's better to accept what you've got than make yourself miserable drinking gross shakes and that might not help. or maybe keep trying and you'll find something. i think what i'm trying to say is you're not alone. i wish i could tell you something more helpful. but about the problems with anxiety, shortness of breath, panic attacks, that is not something you should have to accept and live with. have you spoken to your dr about getting you on a med for that issue? once you feel more calm and peaceful, you might like your body more. big hugs and good luck.

Hello,

my suggestion would be to post this at the diet and nutrition board, they have talked about this before. :-)

Hey there!

I understand you are thin, but why is it that you want to gain weight so badly? If your doc doesn't want to put you on a weight gain diet, is there a problem? Do you just want people to get off your back about being "too thin"? (I used to have that problem, I miss those days...)

Please don't take offense, okay? I'm just curious that's all.
