Okay, I'm not "happy" with my weight by any means, but I've been like this forever even when I was thin so it was easy to believe it is "all in my head." Yeah, right! I've been to a bunch of websites that you plug in your height/weight/age and it gives you the definitive answer of whether or not you are fat. GRRRRR! "Although, your weight falls in the ok zone, you may want to lose a few pounds." SCREW YOU! As if I wasn't freaking out before, now I want to die. It says that I should limit myself to 1000 calories a day. It's a good thing I know I can starve myself. Sorry if this is really negative, but I am very angry.

I try to avoid those sites also!! They are horrible - they generally don't take into account things such as age, frame size, muscle mass, etc. It's a very broad and general calculation in an attempt to classify anyone and everyone who puts their height and weight into the "formula"....
I can definitely understand being unhappy with your body (as most people at some point during their lives), but it sounds like you're being way too hard on yourself - especially considering the not-so-accurate source of the information you received!! I have several friends who weigh more than I do, but they wear the same size clothes or smaller than I do since they lift weights...if they put their height and weight into those formulas it would probably tell them they need to lose weight also...and they absolutely don't need to lose weight! If you are really wanting to know your "healthy weight range" I'd talk it over with your doctor - at least then she'd be able to take into account every factor before giving you an answer...and in the meantime I'd avoid those websites that are probably run by companies in the diet industry!!
