Hi flutterbybaby8703..wow long name http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif umm well someone else might do a better job explaining it but binging is eating lots (eating past the point of feeling full) and purging is throwing up..umm well someone else can correct me if i'm a little off but either way neither are very fun to be controlled by..o.k well that's my 2 cents. I hope you aren't stuck in this food rut..if that makes any sense http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/confused.gif it's really tough and hard to stop. Take care of yourself!

whatever you do, whatever you are thinking, don't adopt bad eating habits. how you look right now and where you are in life is a hundred times better than being trapped inside an eating disorder. Hopefully you are just doing research or getting information to help a friend. Please don't adopt any bad habits or do any extreme dieting. i would give anything to have the life i had before i started becoming bulimic. trust me. it isn't worth it. be happy with yourself...b/c i can't remember the last time i remember being happy.

Agree with the above post. Please DO NOT adopt any unhealthy eating habits. Once you have done this you can never escape them forever. I can not remember being truley happy for years either. All I think about is excersise, not eating, stuffing my face with food, laxatives, throwing up, my bum, my stomach, all body parts and how I dislike them, my health-wonder when this is going to kill me.
Its not worth it!

well, thanx all, it was just research though, but actually that is because i don't do either of those, i just don't eat. i am hiding it from my mom though, because she'll freak at me. when i am at home for dinner, like tonite, i "eat" slowly and then when she leaves, i give it to our dogs. i've only been doing that for maybe two days or so, but so far, it isn't so bad. like i said, thanx all for the replies http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif

Hi, FlutterByBaby http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Like Fallen said, binging is eating a large consumption of food, usually uncontrollably, and purging is a form of ridding your body of what you just eat. Generally when people talk about purging, they mean throwing up. But purging can also be done in other ways, like abusing laxitives, or over exercising.
It's good that you don't engage in any of these behaviours... but I'm warning you that starving yourself like you are doing now can bring on the urge to binge. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif Please be careful and get help before it gets any more out of hand.
I used to feed a lot of my lunch and dinner to my dogs and trust me, all the extra food doesn't do them any good! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/tongue.gif
Take care! And best of luck to you!
