I hope this gets to you but Ive been away from my computer forever. Im finally going to see a Dr (again) for the eating at night. I wanted to suggest the Wellbutrin to her and see what she thought. I was wondering how yu were taking it and in what doses. Thanks!!

hey girl i'm sorry i've been away from the computer too, then i just thought maybe i should check the board today and i see PAPERDOLL lol guess i'm psychic. good luck seeing the dr! the generic name is trazodone, the brand name is desyryl, and i started taking 50 mg, at night before bed, and over the course of about a couple of weeks worked my way up to 200 mg. my dr told me to do it like that, start w/ 50 and he said i may need to go as high as 300 or 400. but 200 works great for me for a long time now. i take the whole dose before bedtime. let me know how it goes!

Hey! THanks for getting back so quick. So let me get this straight you take 200 mg of this medicine and you don't wake up even ONCE starving!??? I cant even imagine how amazing it would be sleep one full night thru no wkaing up with a bloated tummy. I will get up every hour and be uncntrollably starving and have to eat. Ugh its terrible. I read that the Desryl makes you really groggy the next day; how do you feel? I wish there was a way I could contact you but they always remove the info. hey there! well, when i first started on 50 mg, i would wake up once or twice during the night, but i would just kind of open my eyes a litle and then drift back off. at the 200 mg, i sleep straight through, almost exactly 8 hours a night, no problem at all. also it helps to take it on an empty stomach. th bottle says take with food but you'll sleep better with it on an empty stomach. about being groggy, no not at all. i feel great all day and when i wake up i'm alert and refreshed, not druggy. i have no problem waking up and getting right out of bed. i think it would be a problem if you took it during the day, which is why i take the whole dose at bedtime. after about 20 or 30 mins, you get sort of dizzy and woozy and then lights out. it's definately not good if you actually have to do anything productive, and you absolutely can't drive or anything like that right after you've taken it. so make sure you're all tucked in for the night. i can't tell you what a blessing this has been for me, i really hope you get the same results. also, just fyi, the dr prescribed me desyryl, and then when i was getting it filled the pharmacist said do you want generic trazodone, so i went with that, it's cheaper and the same thing. best of luck and keep me posted!

hey paperdoll. unfortunately after the second night the meds seemed to have no effect on keeping me asleep. i still wake and eat!! im going to continue to up the dose and if that doesnt work i am getting off it. thanx tho for all your advice :O)
