Hello, im new to the boards, I actually found them trying to find out what my problem could be. Lately my right ear has been extremely sensative to any sharp noises. I hear the noise and a split second later it makes a pretty intense whooshing sensation/sound. Something as simple as putting away dishes is getting to be very annoying because the clanging together of 2 dishes will make my ear whoosh. The sharper the noise the worse it whooshes and if intense enough it can make my right eye water up. Even the popping of a soda will make it whoosh. I wont go as far as to say it is painful because it really isnt but when it does "whoosh" it is very annoying.
I found some information on tinnitus but tinnitus seems to be more of whoosing and ringing of the ears when no external sound is present. My ear feels fine when there is no sound. I dont hear or feel anything in my ears in complete silence. On the other hand i can watch tv or listen to music very loud and it doesnt bother me one bit. Its only very sensative to quick/sharp noises. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?
