To make a long story short I had 3 surgeries on my spine do to a work injury, my Dr. has me on 30mg Morphine 1 every 12 hours and 15mg percocet
1 every 12 hours. I have been taking these for about 6-7 months. I recently started therapy and walking. Well the pain was terrible so I ask my Dr. If I could take my percocets every 8 hours.. He said no the pain was good. Man was I ticked off ,because I haven't slept for 2 nights , the pain wouldn't go away , and it wasn't muscle pain it is nerve pain . So anyway I did take my pain meds 1 every 8 hours to help cope with the pain...I did not realize that I was addicted to them until I ran out 7 day's till my refill..

Now since I don't have any meds left , I feel like I'm going crazzy ..My pain is so bad and now I'm sick to my stomach and so light headed..I feel terrible...I can't tell my Doctor because he will be mad at me..What am I supposed to do ? I'm so sorry I done this..But I needed it for my pain.

I'm affraid if I tell my Dr. he won't give them to me anymore and I can't bare the nerve damage pain without them.

Anyone have ever gone through this , and what did you do about it?

Go to your dr. and explain, this happens to pretty much everyone. The dr. is supposed to taper you off slow aswell so your not all dope sick....This is how most of the heroin addicts start...

My doctor had nothing to do with me taken more than prescribed for pain.
Dr. supposed to taper me off ? I hope not..My pain is way to severe to take me off right now...My problem is that I did this to myself not my Dr. I took more than I should have now I'm paying for it. I don't want my Dr. to think I'm taken more than I'm supposed to just for fun. I'm affraid he will taper me off if he finds out I took more than prescribed.

What am I going to do ? Im scared...I get a refill on the 21st but have none till then.

I think the pain management board on this website will be of more help for you. Please dont take this the wrong way people come to this board to get off of the pills and this might just be too tempting for some of who still can call their Dr and get scripts. Best wishes. Kim
