I just had my lab work done and have High ALT for about three years now although it has never gotten up 3x high. This time, my ALT=56 (ref range 5-36). My Bili Total =0.41 which is low (ref range 0.50-1.50). Does anyone know the significance (if any) of the relationship of these levels? Also, I had a hida scan which was normal with no bile duct blockages, etc. I had gallstones detected on CT scan and Ultrasound but have been otherwise asymptomatic. My meds are; 300 mg of Allpurinol (high uric acid-gout), Allegra, 1000 mg Slo-Niacin and 3 grams Fish Oil (all per day). I was on 5 mg Crestor until approx. 6 months ago. Finally, my hepatitis A,B and C are all negative.
