HI!
this is my first posting and feel a bit of a whiner asking, but here goes.
i am 4 yrs in remision for non hodgkins lyphoma and recently the doctor was concerned about my lymph glands which were swollen so said i needed a biopsy done, the surgeon who took my nodes out from under my right arm said it there was no point as he could not feel them but after the op he came and see me,and stated that they looked very abnormal and very fibrous, his diagnosis was that the lyphoma had come back but to wait for biopsy results.
after a long 4weeks i got the all clear and told not worry as all was normal, they said they was unlikely to release me in 5yrs due to night sweats still continuing, the reason im asking this question is because after my initial visit my doc i had another hospital visit in the e.n.t dept and find out that all my nodes are swollen in my groin, stomach, chest, armpit, under my jaw,and the ones on my neck are now swelling and beading like feel to them now,and want to know if i have to worry about this or is my cancer coming back, bit worried as first diagnosis was hard to find and if you ask the doc you just 1 sided questions and made to feel like hypochondriac, sorry its long winded but need to get this of my chest.
many thanks

The first thing Im going to say to you is you should NEVER feel bad about going to your physician with your concerns. If your doctor cannot be more sympathetic and do WHATEVER it takes to make you feel better then get another doctor. That said, with your history I would be VERY concerned about the nodes. The fact that you have that much activity warrants, in my opinion, another look by your doctor. Things can be missed. If he/she treats you like your crazy make it clear that your not REQUESTING action..your demanding it. You must be pro active with your health. It may NOT be a recurrence but all avenues must be explored. And know this. I was diagnosed with Hodgkins......Its been 11 years..even if its back its still beatable..remember that. Dont let the cancer own you..You own it. God Bless and please keep us posted on your progress.

thanks for your words, one thing the docs keep saying is that my nodes are reactive and they dont know why there up,they just say they are prepared for battle and i dont have another appointment till jan with the doc now, which would have been my 5yr remision point, maybe im worrying over nothing but you cant help thinking can you
take care and many thanks
