View Full Version : Field inversion

My neuro who I see for another problem told me that I have scar tissue on the back of my brain and asked if I have seizures. At the time I said no, thinking about grand mal type. After some reading at several of the respected medical journal sites, I have found a name for what my eyes do. (I think)

My field of vision will come close up then far off--back and forth--usually when under stress. When this happens and I am driving it can make me even worse--the stress of worrying about it etc.

Has anyone ever heard of this? I saw a eye doctor (M.D.) and he hadn't heard of it. The neuro doc didn't know about it either. Perhaps another neuro doc is needed.

Thanks for the input

If it helps, I fixed my crossed vision with magnesium and potassium supplements. My eyes would cross spontaneously for a few minutes. This went on for a few years, about two or three times a month, until I figured it out. Solved. :-)

http://www.efa.org/answerplace/index.html

sounds like a simple parital seizure:
a snippet -
"perhaps most upsetting of all, distortions in the way things look.

For example, a room may suddenly seem narrower, or wider, than it really is. Objects may seem to move closer or get further away. Part of the body may appear to change in size or shape."

read the whole thing and I hope it helps
