If you have advanced warning of a petit mal, as many of us do, try this to stop it in its tracks.
Go to an area of the house or office where there is carpeting and you will not be hurt if you fall. Jog quickly in place to raise your heartbeat. If your petit mal was caused by arrhythmia, you may be able to stop it. If you are successful, and you can then solve the arrhythmia problem, you may prevent your seizures.

Mark,
I suffer from arrythmias myself and I can tell you that this is probably this most dangerous this that you can do.
There are several different types of arrythmias - Ventrical Tachycardias, which maybe what you are talking about, if you try to raise you HR by running can lead to Ventrical Fibrillation which is where your heart quivers instead of pumping - which is cardiac arrest. And you will most certainly die.
Please do not do this - it is extremely dangerous!!!! If you have arrythmias you should be under a doctors care. There is medication to take and procedure that can be done to alleviate them.
