My son is 4 , he will be 5 in July. He has always been a healthy & VERY active, some may even say Hyperactive.. I say hes Happy http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif! But here in the last month my husband and I have noticed something very disturbing. He just got over the chicken pox 2 weeks ago, and we thought this might be his way of tuning us out (ignoring us) at first but quickly realized that he wasn't. This is what happens...He can be playing, talking or doing any normal 4 yr. activity and his eyes will turn to the sky..he rubs or scratches his head, slowly rocks back and forth or walks staggering and seems to be lost and not hear or really "see" you for a matter of 30 to 60 seconds..after this episode he returns to his coloring, playing, laughing,
smiling,etc...so what happened during the time he was in that "zone"??? I am worried to death. At first I thought it had something to do with his chicken pox, but then I remembered a few times in the past he has done something like that but wrote it off as something else..Everyday it seems to be gradually increasing in episodes..If I'm not in the room with him I still know when hes having one because his 7 year old sister will say his name over and over trying to get him to snap out of it..Please if you have any info on behavior such as this or what it might be..please please... mail me or respond to this posting. I have an appt. set for him with his Ped. but need some answers or advice now!! Thanks~ http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif A worried Mom
