I was just wondering if someone can help me get some answers....

My boyfriend has been experiencing some vertigo. It was getting worse so we went to the hospital last saturday night. They did a cat scan, took blood, and did x-rays. After hours of waiting, the finally told us that the vertigo was related to some inner ear problems. They also told him that they found calcification on the front (left or right, I dont remember) part of his brain and that he should get an MRI. Now, being the extremely nervous person that my boyfriend is, he's freaking out even though the doctor told him not to.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them or someone that they know? Do we have anything to worry about? I've tried to google this and have found nothing helpful, so any input is greatly appreciated! :)
