I'm on Alesse 28, for the 1st time.
I started on a Sunday, the day my period started.
I have been spotting (just enough for a tampon when i go out), for about 3 weeks now. I'm just about to start my sugar pills.
is this normal??
anyone else just start alesse and get this? how long did you bleed for?

Sometimes you can spot for a month or two after starting a new pill while you are adjusting to it. I have never taken this particular one, but this is true of pretty much all of them. I would, just when you get a chance, talk with your doctor, or if you like this pill otherwise, try it for the next month and see if it doesn't get better. You may or may not have your period this month when you take the inactive pills. If after the second month you are still spotting that much, you might want to try a different pill. Sometimes it takes a couple to figure out what your body likes best! But unless you have side effects that you cant tollerate, give a new pill 2-3 months to make a decision.

Yeah, when I was on Alesse it took me I think two and a half packs before the spotting ended.

I took alesse - and after one month i had to change- i bled heavily with horrible cramps the WHOLE month. Needless to say i havent experienced this with any other pill! -good luck!

well ive decided to come off and just use condoms (male)
spermicide, and sponges
that way i dont have to deal with all the birth control problems, and all the risks, and side affects!
