After many years suffering with various atrial arrythmias I had an rf ablation in feb this year. Unfortunately it was unsuccessful and left me with constant chest pain of unknown cause. The cardiologist thinks the pain is from my pericardium as i did suffer with pericarditis immediately after the ablation but says he cannot prove this because there is no effusion showing on my scan:confused: .The arrythmias are still troublesome and i am regularly short of breath and dizzy. Initially because of my constant pain another ablation was ruled out but now there is talk of them doing a cryoablation. Can anyone relate to my experience or shed some light on the symptoms i have?

I had an ablation about 5 years ago. The only problems I had was it felt like I got hit in the chest with a sledgehammer later on that day!! OH, and mine was unsuccessful as well....go figure!! They said the cause of the problems was too close to the AV node and they didnt wanna install a pacemaker on a 21 year old oif they didnt have to! Sorry I dont have anymore info.....anyone else?
