Last Monday-Wednesday, i started getting a cold, and my athsma playing up. By Thursday, i had almost lost my voice and started getting a cough... Over the weekend.. My cough still hasnt stopped... i feel like im bringing stuff up, but diesnt come out... I went to my Dr's today, and he said it sounds ok, but could be a virus infection or Broncitus. He pre-scribed me some Allergy tablets!!! Promethazine. After reading the information, its only used for Allergys. Travel Sickness or for a Sedative at night (as they can make you drowsy) And some of the side effects are what i have already! (Wheezing, Tightness of the chest)

Has my Dr gone a but doo lally?

How will antihistamines stop my cough???
