Recently I have had problems sleeping.
When I try and go to sleep I can’t fall asleep unless I am actually thinking very very very hard about something, and when I do sleep its dream after dream after dream of quite a few random things. When I wake up it is as if I haven’t actually gone to sleep in the first place.
I feel as if I don’t go deep enough into the sleep stages. I have tried just lying there not thinking about anything but that does not work.
So, I was just wondering anyone have any idea as to what this is?

I don't know what it is but I have the exact same problem. I'm on Lunesta, but even so I can't sleep unless I'm thinking about something--nothing stressful, though. I've tried "emptying my mind" but it just doesn't work for me...only keeps me awake longer.
Wish I had answers myself.

Have you tried concentrating on how sleepy you feel? I have occasionally "tricked" my head into believing it was sleepytime when I felt no desire to sleep but knew I had to.....sleeping pills don't work for me either. I just hold the thought and image in my head without letting other thoughts interrupt.....hope this idea helps.
