I'm 27 years old and in march 06 my life changed!!!! My body gets numb, so numb that I can't sleep trough the night and I have a feeling of a internal vibration that doesn't stop!!!! I have always haedache, even my brain gets numb and sometimes I'm confused and I can't see very well. My hands turn blue and very cold.I went to the ER and I did a MRI in my brain that came back normal..and 2 CT scan, all normal!!! From march I saw many doctors because I don't have a family doctor but nobody helped me!!!! I did all the blood tests...they came back normal!!! I tried to go in a glutin free diet but didn't help then I saw a chiropractor and i felt well during the summer but in september all the same symptoms came back!!!!..I'm not stressed or depressed..I used to be always an happy person but now I'm not more the same....some days I don't want to get out from the house and It's very hard to go to work too..I feel my life is changing so much...I'm taking sleeping pills to sleep trough the night, but in the morning it's very hard to get up!!! I hate the feeling of numbness and that vibration....sometimes my neck and my upper back are very stiff too...ice helps a little bit, but is not enough!!!
doctors are not doing too much for me...maybe they don't believe me or they think is all in my head!!! If you have a story like mine please let me know it....I don't know what to do anymore

You could have a problem with your cervical spine like disc herniation or bone spurring... Get an Xray and MRI of your neck! Let us know if you were in a car accident or had a bad fall in March or hurt yourself in a sport or something.
I had bone spurring and it would cause my body to go numb as well. I can also remember feeling the kinda vibration that you are talking about.. its like someone struck a tuneing fork inside your body! I had surgery on November 7th and am now recovering pretty well I'd say. Ultimatly you'll probably need to see a neurosurgeon or sometimes some people like to go with ortho docs - if indeed this is causing the problem.. but I had numbness in my face as well, so have an MRA of your head and neck to look at the arteries just to make sure that is okay because of the facial/brain numbing feeling, but numbness also can come from nerve being aggitated which has been my case. Because you have neck and back pain, I'm thinking you might have some kinda of stenosis going on - which means narrowing inside your spinal collum. Good Luck to you and God bless, hopefully this info will lead you to getting things resolved.
So get yourself a primary physican fast, because some of these things things are time sensitive and things can get worse quickly, and he/she should be more willing to work with you than those at the ER. While I'm very hopeful that this is your problem, you might want to ask about MS (multipule sclerosis) as well, just in case.

thanks !!! I will see a doctor this friday...it's too bad but I don't have a family doctor yet!!! I will ask him to do all these tests!!! I see a chiropractor once a week now and I have to say that he helps me a little bit with the neck and back pain!!! He thinks that my muscles are very contracted but he suggested to have a MRI too!!! I had x ray in spine and neck....nothing major!!!

Just to caution you - seeing a chiropractor may help now, but if you do indeed have something going on in your neck, he could just as easily make it worse. The slightest sign you are getting worse from it, STOP! And you may want to ask your doc if he think you should be seeing him or not. Physical thearpy could just as well benefit you, or also make it worse. For me it helped initally, and then I got worse rather suddenly, so then I started only going for massage and electro therapy or whatever it is called, but then when I told her I had numbness and tingling, the physical therapist didn't want to do much of anything with me and wanted me to call the doc asap.
I don't want to tell you to stop seeing your chiropratctor since you seem to benifiting, however just keep this warning in mind because you don't know if you have stenosis going on or not in your neck yet. Depending on how your tests come back, your doc may tell you to stop, so be sure to tell him you are seeeing a chiropractor.
