day one progress report!

had breakfast even though hubby had gone to work and could EASILY have skipped it.
felt like binge so had bubble bath instead (took day off work for Mum's anniversary :( )
and now someone has bought my skinny jeans (three pairs) [removed]!

felt a bit "oh no i want to keep them" but trying to see it maybe as a gift from Mum/God on this special day to help me move on. prob a daft thought but it helps!

Hi Presson

I'm sorry about the loss of your mother. It has been six years since the passing of my dad. It is hard when losing a parent. The memories will always be there, and we must remember that their legacy goes on through us. :)

You did wonderful making it through today. Taking a bubble bath versus a binge is a great idea. Good for you! Selling those skinny jeans- good job! Get rid of them. I am in process of doing the same. Only mine are collecting dust in our closet in the basement right now piled beneath the garage sale stuff. LOL

Laxatives are dangerous. Do all you can to get away from them. Take each day and part of a day at a time. Steer clear from them. I know how hard it is to get away from them as I too, abused them. But- I am now not using them and haven't for a very long time.

In treatment they teach a person the theory of taking each day one step/day at a time. And, it really is that- that is what makes logical sense. If a person does that, or hence, even part of a day, it can work. Focus on the moment at present, and it will work, and life can be enjoyable or maintanable.

Take care of yourself and focus on living life for you and your hubby. Live to be happy. :)

great job presson, it is hard to slip especially when no one is around, but YOU DID IT!! taking a bath was a smart move. you do need to ditch the laxatives though, i know i have used them for being plugged up and my stomach is a mess for 2 days after that, they are terrible for you. keep fighting you can beat this!!! case

i havent actually taken laxatives for a while. whats funny is i used to think nothing of downing 20 or so twice a week, then a few weeks ago i took 1 ie half the recommended dose and felt hugely guilty and anxious!!!

I'm very proud of you for refusing to binge! Keep up the good work. :) I half binged this morning and slowed down in the evening, which is really opposite of me. lol But I was up for over 24 hours so I was feeling screwy that day anyways. lmao
